Frequently Asked Questions

What treatment is best for me?

This will depend on the type of varicose veins you have, and will be determined at your initial consultation and scan.

Do I need to be referred by my GP?

You do not need a GP referral - you can self-refer.

You can self-refer by calling 0808 101 0339 to arrange an appointment.

(Patients with private medical insurance normally require a GP referral and are advised to contact their insurer in the first instance for authorisation - failure to do so may result in non-payment by your insurance company.)

How long will I have to wait for treatment?

Regular clinics are available during the week, including evening appointments, so consultations and treatment dates can be arranged at a time convenient for you.

Will you inform my GP?

Yes - after every consultation and treatment.

How can I pay for my consultations / treatment?

You can pay by cheque, credit/debit card, BACS or via private medical insurance.
